The Galleria d’Arte Moderna houses collections of paintings and sculpture from the late 19th and early 20th centuries, particularly Italian, and is especially rich in works from the Neo-classical and Romantic periods. The Macchiaioli art movement (the Italian face of Impressionism) is well represented here.
